Proposal on new features for Friendster

At present, there are many social-networking websites. The competition is really strong and if Friendster does not seek to improve on its features, it will soon be forsaken. To preserve its current users and attract new users, we propose that Friendster needs to add new peatures to its website and also improve on present problems.

The first feature we will like to propose is to add games to the website. Instead of simply allowing users to browse other members' accounts and profiles; adding them as friends and writing testimonials, Friendster should create another outlet whereby members can interact under supervision. Adding games to the website will enable members to have fun together, and get to know each other better. Games like chess or poker or mahjong can allow members to pit their skills against each other. For those who prefer more action, games with more obstacles, mystery and fighting can cater to their likes; and members can form teams and have a showdown.

The next feature we would like to propose to Friendster is instant messaging. The current feature of leaving comments behind although enable the interaction between individual users, it is not effective enough. Comments and message may not be able to impress their to-be-friends as it may not be specific. However if an instant messaging function is added, the individual users would be able to communicate more frequently and also get responses faster. Furthermore, when more chances are given to users to chat online, we believe they would spend more time on Friendster.

Finally, Friendster should enable its language setting to be changed according to the user's preference. Currently, Friendster can only be viewed and used in English. For people who do not use the language, they would be deprived of the chance to have a Friendster account. Some people use English but may be much more comfortable using their native or other language, and thus may be discouraged from using Friendster. By enabling different languages to be implemented, Friendster can become a globalised social networking site. Users of Friendster can get to know people from many other different countries. We strongly believe that if Friendster has other languages, a rise in the number of Friendster users will be seen.

The above are the suggestions of how Friendster can be improved to be more user-friendly. We hope that you can consider our suggestions and give your approval. Thank you.

We like the ideas that your came up with especially the last idea of enabling language setting to be changed according to the user's preference. The points are well organized. Good use of persuasive phrases. A good job done!
